Number of bedrooms: The house has two full bedroom suites, each with its own large private bathroom. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and stunning views of the bay though large French doors that open onto a private patio. The bedroom also has a DVD player and television, and a safe for your valuables. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a large window facing the garden courtyard.

Additional sleeping: The living room has two built-in couches that can each comfortably sleep an additional individual. In addition to the two bathrooms attached to the two bedrooms, there is also a half-bath off the living room that can be used by those sleeping in the living room. The couches are ideal for guests that cannot be accommodated in the bedrooms.

Kitchen: A very large, fully equipped kitchen with modern stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, toaster, and plenty of cooking and eating utensils.

Living room: The large living room overlooks the ocean and the town and has two comfortable couches, a coffee-table covered in Mexican art books, beautiful decorations, and a view of the ocean that leads onto the patio. There is also a large library containing books about Mexican art, politics, and sociery, as well as a large collection of literary fiction.

Dining room and other eating areas: We have a dining room with an antique table, traditional equipali chairs, and a view of the ocean through the French doors. You can also dine on the patio under the palapa roof, at the bar in the kitchen.

Patios: The whole 45-foot length of the house facing the ocean opens on to a large patio through three 12-feet-wide sliding French doors and has panoramic views of the bay. One portion of the patio is under a large palapa roof with a round table and 6 chairs for alfresco dining in the shade. There are also two lounge chairs for sunbathing and a garden planter. The views from the patio are some of the most stunning in all of Sayulita. In addition, there is a back patio with table and chairs that overlooks the garden and is shaded by the canopy of a several hundred year old Higuera tree.

Decor: We have traveled all over Mexico to decorate Casa Higuera with the finest in traditional and modern handicrafts, original artwork, and antiques. The kitchen and bathrooms are all composed of hand-painted talavera tile, the bedspreads are all hand woven, and the doors and closets all originally designed and custom made. We also have a large selection of novels and books about Mexico.
